Last year, through the generosity of friends like you, the CAP Center was able to help 55 families and 145 individuals celebrate a joyful holiday season. We want to thank you for your continuing passion and commitment to helping us give parents the tools they need to raise healthy children. The CAP Center is committed to helping families deal with trauma and adversity to minimize the risk of child abuse and neglect.

We invite you to participate in the 2010 CAP Center Adopt-a-Family program. This year we anticipate that over 50 families will need our help providing gifts for their children over the holidays. Some of these families have three or more children in the family. Your contributions to these high risk families are crucial to their success. Your acts of generosity and kindness make an impact that is not limited to one family, but an entire community.

The families involved in the CAP Center Parent Aide and Healthy Families programs benefit from these gifts. Both programs provide intensive in-home intervention to Dallas County's most vulnerable parents and children free of charge. Those programs serve clients who are geographically or socially isolated, have limited life skills, have a disability, are teenage parents as young as 14, and/or are victims of violence. Our parents may have limited funds for food, cleaning supplies, and other staples taken for granted in most households. Many of these families have long histories of abuse. CAP Center builds on the strengths of participating families by improving parenting skills and supporting healthy parent-child relationships.

We celebrate big and small successes every single day! Through your generosity, families served by The CAP Center can experience a holiday unlike any other. Click here to fill out the response form to help a deserving family this holiday season.
